02.26.16

Founder of Stamped Paper Co., Jill Efrussy Sour, is a vendor we always love getting to work with. She gave up her advertising job to make her passion for paper a full time job. Being a past Branch bride herself, she knows exactly what to expect when working with us and we love to collaborate on many exciting projects here at the studio! She specializes in custom invitations and paper goods, and let me tell you, the end product is amazing.

Learn more about this amazing paper goods extraordinaire here!

What is your favorite memory with The Branch, or Debby?
It’s been an honor to work on many beautiful weddings with The Branch, but my favorite experience was working together to plan the flowers for my own wedding. Debby, my mom and I had a blast working through some of my crazy ideas and scaling down to the most vivid, colorful, and cheeky flowers a girl could ask for. Every meeting was so fun, and all led to a final product of which I am truly proud.

How did you get into stationery and paper goods?
I used to work in Advertising as an Art Director, which means I worked on ideas for TV commercials and designed print advertisements, from magazine ads to billboards and catalogs. At the end of 2006, my best friend from high school, Dana, was planning her wedding, and as my gift to her, I offered to design her wedding invitations. The next April, my nephew was born, and I designed a custom birth announcement for him. After that, I was hooked on designing paper goods celebrating life’s happiest occasions. I worked on growing my hobby into a full-time business by working nights, weekends, and lunch hours for two years, and left the Advertising world in 2011 to launch Stamped Paper Co. as my full-time job! It’s been the best five years [Read more…]

AACWP Vendi Awards 2016 Design Recap!

02.23.16

If you missed the AACWP Vendi Awards this year, then you missed out on an exciting night filled with laughter and our garden party decor! From a greenery filled stage and bar, to a coloring book wall – it was a night to remember! When Debby was told they wanted a “garden party” theme, she took the idea and ran with it! With shades of pink and coral with glossy green, teal, blue and brassy gold it definitely matched the design theme of swanky garden party.

Cocktail Hour

In the pre-function area, we went with simple blue and white vases containing a single bloom accented with some greenery on the cocktail tables. Debby wanted to go with something a little different for the photo area, so she went with an interactive coloring-book-page wall! So, not only could you have a fun background in your pictures, you could also color while you were there! The coloring-book-page wall was surrounded by a greenery-filled structure and green turf for the flooring. Also, we put accents of the smaller laser-cut flowers we had made on the wall for a little something extra. For the bars in the cocktail area, we created a greenery-filled bar front facade accented with large pink laser-cut flower blooms to give you a little sneak peak of what was inside the ballroom. With an awesome flower shaped ice sculpture featured in the middle of the room, cocktail hour was a huge success! [Read more…]

Floral Designer Spotlight: Jesse Camargo

02.19.16

image1
Another one of our amazing freelance designers, Jesse, helps keep The Branch rockin’ and rollin’ in the production area. Here at the studio, we call him Antonio – which happens to be his middle name – because we already have TWO Jesse’s and the confusion level was getting real! Whether he is singing along to the Pandora station while designing or laughing along to whatever craziness is going down, we love when Antonio is in the studio. He is a newer designer, but is learning some of the ropes of the floral design world from Debby, and our other designers!
Learn more about him below!
Favorite Memory at The Branch?
I think everyone will agree that Debby makes late nights at the studio a party! Creating arrangements and singing along to Beyoncé with friends is always memorable!
Favorite Flower?
It’s so hard to just pick one, but if I have to choose it’s peonies. I actually started my first plant last year. The variety is Shirley Temple. It’s a beautiful white double bloom with a heavenly fragrance. I actually want to start growing more varieties. Surprisingly they do great in Dallas!
