Katy jumped right into our growing team joining Branching Out in 2014 shortly after graduating from SMU with honors in Journalism and Spanish. With a background including Editor-in-Chief of her college newspaper, working for Southwest The Magazine and on the Red Bull marketing team, Katy is nothing short of a go-getter. Her ambition, composure, and communication skills have been a recipe for her passion and success in this fast-paced industry.
You’ll find Katy at her desk with a cup of green tea and a candle lit, busily typing away on her dual-screen computer responding to client emails and calls, ensuring all the details are perfect! If anyone knows best what is happening at The Branch – it’s Katy! She also keeps her finger on the pulse with what’s happening around town. She is always hip to the newest Dallas eateries and venues, and makes sure we remain in tune to what’s trending with brides of her generation.
Katy is happiest starting each day with 90 minutes of yoga and ending it with a glass of red wine. She is mom to the most precious pup, Hilde.

Javier is our go to guy when we need something built or any type of woodwork done. He is a master at creating, building, and painting all the ideas we throw his way. Our flowers pass through his hands first so he can ensure the quality is up to our high standards.
A graduate of the University of Texas at Arlington with a degree in Design, Javier is a dependable, hard worker who has a passion for building. He is always interested in learning more about flowers and the best practices in floral processes.
When Javier isn’t working hard in the warehouse or running errands for us, he enjoys cooking, traveling and sports. Javier instantly fit into The Branch’s love for dogs, and bonded with Christine in his interview over design, and of course our lovely pups.

Jesse is our go to guy in the warehouse - keeping the studio area clean and all our inventory organized and ready for production. He is a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to installation. Jesse started tagging along with his dad helping on installations and cleanups when he was in high school at the ripe old age of 15. Now his younger brother Edgar is following in his footsteps.
Jesse is a reliable and hard worker. We’re not sure we’ll be able to live without him when he graduates from UT Arlington in 2017! Jesse is studying to be a civil engineer but enjoys his literature classes. He is a soccer fanatic in all forms. Whether coaching his brother’s team, playing himself, or cheering on the Guadalajara Chivas – Jesse loves soccer!
Always flexible and a team player, when he is not stocking the shelves or cleaning, Jesse can be found walking the dogs.

Ayde is another one of our amazing production assistants and helps with wrangling the boys in the back. Whether she is creating small handwork or organizing the kitchen, she is always working with a bright smile on her face. She is a huge help in every aspect of the warehouse – from processing flowers to cleaning hardgoods after an event.
She is a true believer that if you maintain a positive mind, great things will come your way. Ayde is a mother to an adorable 9-year-old, Moises, and wife-to-be to her high school sweetheart, Gregorio. She loves spending time with her family and doing any fun activity.

OWNER & CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Debby is the owner, principal designer and creative director of Branching Out. A graduate of the University of Texas at Austin, Debby began her professional career as a physical education teacher and volleyball coach. In 2000, a desire to change careers inspired the leap of faith that introduced Debby to the world of floral design.
Her true Texas can-do spirit sent her knocking on doors until she got hired at a high-end design company sweeping floors and processing flowers. When the broom handle became clippers, she had the opportunity to train with some of the most talented designers in the DFW area. Debby launched Branching Out Floral & Event Design in 2009, and she quickly developed a reputation for her high energy and creativity.
That same passion and enthusiasm for bringing out the best in people as a PE coach is now channeled into encouraging her staff to work as a team and exceed the expectations for each client. From weddings in a white chapel, receptions on a private ranch or a gala with a grand theme, Debby appreciates the designer’s challenge of bringing each unique vision to life. Her love of flowers is contagious, as is her genuine enthusiasm for each event.
Debby is married to wine-lover, Mike, and is the mother of two terrific kids and, of course, the lovable St. Bernard, Max, and kitties, Rosie and Fritz. When not working, she loves walking, biking and gardening.
