just a few more details from the union station wedding. it’s become quite a trend for designers to load up the entry stairs with candles. my team did an amazing job of perfectly placing the cylinders in a clustered, asymmetrical pattern.

then, there’s the entry table at the top of the stairs! wow! this was real show stopper, if i should say so myself. the planner provided pictures of the bride (taken by the talented, dynamic duo at Perez Photography) which we styled amongst candles and various heights of floral. the floral was kept simple in composition: one type of flower per vase. this is a perfect example of why i think the ability to style a display is just as important as the ability to design a big mixed arrangement. bringing together the right mix of even the simplest elements, can really create incredible beauty!

what an incredible event! a beautiful couple, lovely families and a super fun planner- Paige Chenault. here are some of the first photos from the reception at Union Station. Thanks to the suggestion of Wendy Timson, the coordinator at Union Station, we placed tall white banquettes against the long wall in trios. for extra guest seating, a 6ft long table was placed in front of each banquette. we designed a simple, but very stylish centerpiece on each table, featuring a mirrored tray with a collection of various candles and a single floating gardenia in a crystal cup. and everyone wanted to take the pillows home! the setting was simply stunning!

what a wonderful surprise to open the Dallas Morning News and find a perfectly written feature about our kessler park home! the writer, Brittany Edwards, is one very talented lady: writer, decorator, stylist and mastermind behind The Dallas Flea.

one of my favorite quotes was about how i am okay with things in my home being imperfect! and i loved the quote about my hair. the day she came to interview me, i had my hair up in my typical disheveled bun. it too, imperfect!

thank you Brittany for so eloquently capturing the essence of our home and family!

*as a note to clients, current and potential, if there’s one thing i am a perfectionist about, it’s my work. so, i might show up with my disheveled hairdo, but i’ll make sure your decor is perfect!
