I had the pleasure of working with SNAP! Productions in creating a beautiful “Ralph Lauren-esque country in the city” party in early May. The special occasion was a 50th birthday party, complete with fried chicken, arnold palmer’s in mason jars (a la Bubbas and The Food Company) and the wildly entertainertaining Pat Green! The only flower requested was sunflowers. Terri Sue Wensinger from SNAP! brought in burlap table cloths and quilt toppers. I brought wooden plank flooring for table runners, mason jars out the wa-zoo, masses of glass cylinders with candles and lanterns for the trees. A pair of large sunflower arrangements surrounded by wooden crates and more lanterns greeted the guests in the circle drive. Picts of the birthday boy were hung on display on peely paint wooden ladders lit with galvanized lights. Pure simple perfection- if I should say so myself!
In the photography world, I have a few favorites. I always seem to be talking about Hansel Dobbs, mainly because we’ve had the good fortune to work together quite a bit. In April, he captured some amazing shots of the perfectly simple and elegant decor for Crystal Johnson and Phillip Madden at the Orion Ballroom. Katelin Reddick with Tara Wilson Events did an amazing job of orchestrating the shin-dig. Check out my photo gallery for more pictures. Congratulations Crystal and Phillip!
If you’ve read my blog, you know I adore Kari Crowe’s photography! I was so excited when she asked me to produce the floral decor for her own wedding! The event is featured in Unveiled Magazine, so be sure to click on the link and check it out!
