Tablescape Inspiration: Spring Tee
Happy Spring! We are delighted to introduce the first of many Tablescape Inspiration Features for 2012! Our theme: Spring Tee!
For this month’s feature, our design team was inspired by the smell of fresh cut grass and a favorite springtime blossom- white daisy poms! The newly designed Stevens Park Golf Course in Kessler Park provided the perfect location for the shoot. A huge thank you to some of our favorite gal-pal vendors: the talented Ms. Kari Crowe of Kari Crowe Photography for her gorgeous picts, the generous ladies at POSH Couture Rentals and Ms. Chelsea Carpenter, the creative genius behind the stationary designs at Southern Fried Paper.
Our principal designer, Debby Jewesson, is obsessed with “tiling” anything in flowers and greenery. This shoot was the perfect excuse to create a pair of stylish chair skirts, ideal for highlighting the special guests at any outdoor or garden themed fete (think bride and groom, birthday girl or even mommy-to-be).
We grabbed the natural colored grande chivari chairs and white linens with a crisp hemstitch overlay from our friends at POSH. Debby loves adding details to the ladder style back on the chivari chairs. In this setting, we attached an adorable glass vase holding chamomile and fresh kumquats on the branch. Added bonus: this decor detail can double as a party favor for your guests.
A collection of shorter vases with whimsical springtime florals was styled in the center of the table. We used one type of floral per vase to simplify the design, including chamomile, billy balls, tulips, ranunculus and gerber daisies. In the middle for height, a tall glass cylinder filled with forsythia limbs was topped with a daisy covered white lamp fixture. Be sure to take notice of the adorable table number sign created by Southern Fried Paper.
One of our favorite details was the interactive “Spring Tee Menu” perched on a bed of wheat grass. The guests can rate each “course” with an adorable miniature pencil. Did we mention stationary designer Chelsea Carpenter is beyond clever!
For the casual table setting, we paired a rattan charger with a trio of matchy/non-matchy plates. The more decorative flatware and crystal club glasses add a touch of elegance. (all available at POSH) Providing each guest with a beautiful and tasty beverage adds to the table setting, as well. We found the perfect recipe for this sugar-rimmed, minty Lemongrass Mojito on Epicurious.com.
With a golf-loving couple in mind for the tablescape inspiration, Chelsea Carpenter of Southern Fried Paper designed this invitation. Can you imagine the potential for wedding details with this golfing theme: ceremony on the 18th green, golf clubs for aisle markers, argyle print ribbon on the bouquet handles, custom golf hats and argyle socks for the groomsmen, the bride and groom exiting in a golf cart and wheat grass on every table…
Now that you’re armed with all this inspiration, Are you ready to Branch Out?
