my new favorite color combination is yellow and grey. in these pieces, i used simple, traditional flowers such as yellow spray roses, begonia blooms, and tulips mixed with the unexpected and random yellow “billy balls.”
tip: these little quirky yarrow balls dry perfectly. after the event, you can pull them out, pop them in an opaque vase (so you don’t see the yuck stems) and never worry about watering them. how fun!
for finishing touches, i added silvery grey dusty miller foliage, minitaure succulents and fern fronds. the large container is a faux bois concrete planter. not the most feather-weight choice, but it’s perfect for this stunning color combination.
the coordinating handwork was just as fun to create! this eye-popping bouquet would be perfect with a silvery grey, celadon or charcoal bridesmaid dress. and if the guys want something unique, what could be better than this boutonierre created with a yarrow ball and succulent.
tip: when you’re on a budget, repeating a cohesive theme throughout your event gives the decor more of an impact. your guests are sure to connect the dots and notice the recurrent details in the areas where you spent your money, which give you more bang for your buck!
