In November, we made the trek northeast to a ranch in Bells, TX to create a rustic ceremony and reception site for John and Erica. John carved his marriage proposal into a large pecan tree on his property, so he and Erica just had to say their vows under the same tree. How sweet are they! The tree inspired the outdoor and rustic chic look that found it’s way into the wildflower pew markers, cotton burr boutonnieres, and ivory floral and antler chandeliers. Huge thanks are in order to Emily Youngblood of Blessed Unions and Gary Donihoo of f8studios for the incredible photographs. Here are some of our favorites:
Not too long ago, we paired up with Hansel Dobbs Photography for an upbeat advertising photoshoot (see our ad in the current issue of D Weddings!). Debby had a few bouquet ideas she was dying to bring to life, and Hansel was just the guy to capture it. Along with our stunning model, Genevieve, and a rockin’ Sky Blue 1966 Cadillac DeVille convertible, we were able to have a ton of fun and get some images to showcase great talent.
Dress courtesy of Circle Park Bridal. Special thanks to the East Kessler Park neighborhood for providing a beautiful outdoor studio, Rusty Thompson for the Caddy, and the ladies at Sweet Pea Events.
We can’t resist sharing this one! Southern Living always offers some really unique items. Dallas’ own Design Legacy by Kelly O’Neal (and our neighbor down the street!) is creating one of the best wedding gift items we’ve ever seen.
They will create a custom replication of a wedding invitation. It’s featured on an aged canvas chart, detailed with Old World-esque wooden pieces and a rope hanger. Available through Weddings, Etc., this awesome find is sure to please the couple and offer a stylish presentation of a treasured memory.
Congratulations to all of our brides from 2011 that were featured in Brides of North texas Spring/Summer 2012!
